Moisturizing your legs is a such a big part of attaining those perfectly smooth legs in the summer. Of course you can do an entire routine of applying shimmery oils to bronzing products. For someone who really cares about skincare a bit more and can't be bothered with leg makeup as I like to call it, this body butter was a good match.
I was skeptical about using a body butter in the summer because I was afraid applying it would keep me feeling greasy all day. That is a feeling I detest more than anything, being an oily skinned girl but I decided to give it a try anyway. I was pleasantly surprised by it. I use it to soothe my legs after some hardcore scrubbing/shaving in the shower at night so that it can work it's way into my skin all night and I don't have to reapply any product in the morning and get it on my clothes.
Quantity : 220ml
1.Price: Let’s face it. Nothing, I repeat nothing can beat the price of this product for the quantity it gives. A Body Shop Body Butter retails at £13- £14 I suppose ( Rs 1095) for 200ml. So not only do you get more quantity, you also pay less than 1/10 of the price. How incredible.
2.Texture: It has a very smooth, non-sticky texture which dries within seconds making your skin feeling soft. It is non greasy and keeps you from feeling sweaty as the day gets hotter.
3.Fragrance: It is described as luxurious on the packaging but I’d say it is rather subtle on the skin, mostly smells like plain shea butter to me with a hint of nut. It has a very edible scent. I prefer it over some sickly scented body products though that give me a slight headache. If you’re not like me, you’ll probably not like the scent much.
4.Lasting Power: The smooth feeling lasts all night and throughout the next day on me. It nourishes any dry skin areas that I have on my legs.
5. It has an intermediate lid which is very good for maintaining the freshness of your body butter for the long run especially when you use it frequently and also for travelling.
1. Packaging: The packaging lacks proper information about the product and it is not very pleasing like any other pricier body butters would be.
2. The smell does not linger on for very long. It is gone within a few minutes once the product has soaked into your skin. It smells much better and stronger in the tub than on my skin.
3. Dry skinned beauties may complain about it not being very moisturizing because their skin needs more nourishment than mine does. While I can still make considerable use out of this in winter, I don't think this will be an ideal body butter for them.
